National Lottery star hosts fundraising event in Golders Green

THOUSANDS of pounds were raised for charity at a quiz night hosted by the National Lottery’s Alan Dedicoat, better known as the ‘Voice of the Balls’.

Over 200 people took part in the annual Supper Quiz which raised £9,500 in aid of Norwood charity.
Alan Dedicoat, who reads out the winning Lottery numbers, was quizmaster and challenged participants with brain teasers and true or false questions at the event held in St Michael’s Banqueting Hall, Golders Green.
Now in its fifth year, the event was organised by the charity’s Enterprise Committee and will help Norwood provide education, after-school clubs, care homes and services such as adoption support for people in the area.
Nicole Margolis, the event fundraiser, said: “The evening was a great success and we are truly grateful to all those who gave their time and support.
“The money raised will help Norwood to continue to provide the wide range of life-changing services on which so many people with learning disabilities, and children and families in need, rely.”
