NEW DELHI: Police have arrested a 28-year-old woman and her paramour on charges of murdering her husband. According to cops, Reshma alias Pinki and her lover, Nasir, were arrested on Friday in east Delhi for murdering Reshma's husband, Rakesh on January 13.
The role of Nasir's wife, Roshani, and his friend, Salem, in the murder is also being investigated, police said.
According to sources, Rakesh and Nasir were friends. On the night of January 13, Nasir invited Rakesh and Reshma for dinner at his house and allegedly strangled him after a bout of heavy drinking. The body was thrown into the Yamuna near Kondli, said a police officer.
"Reshma registered a complaint on January 15 that her husband has gone missing. The mobile details of Reshma and Nasir showed frequent interaction before and after Rakesh's disappearance. They confessed to the crime after sustained interrogation," said police.
